Description
The Village of Barnesville is soliciting sealed bids for the North Water Extension Project. The work includes approximately 43,391 horizontal linear feet of directional-bored HDPE drinking-water mains of varying sizes, 186 service taps, 14 fire hydrants, and two flush hydrants. The base bid also includes a complete water-pressure booster station with site improvements and a commercial two-lane water-filling station; Bid Alternate No. 1 covers a commercial single-lane water-filling station. The project is divided into Belmont County Area Segment Contract No. 01 and Village of Fairview Area Segment Contract No. 02, with an additional alternate for the Fairview segment. The engineer's estimates are $4,766,040 for Contract No. 01, $546,260 for Contract No. 02, and $203,500 for the alternate. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference, be listed as bidders of record, and submit the required signed bidding forms with bid security. The project includes federal-aid requirements, including Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, Federal Labor Standards Provisions, equal employment opportunity provisions, and encouragement of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise utilization.
