Description
South Fayette Township is soliciting sealed proposals for the complete installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Presto-Sygan Road and Newbury Highland Drive/Newbury Market Drive. The work includes mast arms; vehicular and pedestrian signal heads; pedestrian pushbuttons and signage; advanced radar and video detection; emergency vehicle preemption equipment; a signal controller and cabinet with UPS; new electrical service, conduit, and junction boxes; signing; pavement markings; pedestrian accommodations; traffic control; and restoration. The successful bidder must be PennDOT pre-qualified under the applicable work classifications, comply with Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements and Multimodal Transportation Fund grant requirements, and provide the required bid guarantee. The project requires a 10% certified check or bid bond with the proposal; performance and labor-and-material payment bonds and specified insurance and workers' compensation certificates are required with the executed agreement.
