Masconomet Regional School District INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) SCHOOL EXTERNAL STRIPPING AND PAINTING OF METAL AND CINDER BLOCK SURFACES The School District is soliciting bids for external stripping and painting of metal and cinder block surfaces at Masconomet Regional High School and Middle School. Bid documents are available beginning September 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the Mas- conomet School District Finance and Operations Office, Attn: Jim Mealey, Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations, 20 En- dicott Road, Boxford, MA 01921. Bid documents are also available by emailing jmealey@masconomet.org. Those interested in this project are encouraged to notify Jim Mealey of your interest to receive updates and addenda (jmealey@masconomet. org, P 978-590-9824). Failure to ac- knowledge addenda may result in a bid rejection. A MANDATORY pre- bid conference is scheduled on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 be- ginning at 10:30am. Gather at the main lobby of Masconomet Region- al High School, Boxford MA 01921. Bidders attending the conference must register during the conference and visit the multiple school project sites before the site conference con- cludes. Additional site inspection requests will not be accommodated. Sealed bids should be delivered to the Masconomet Regional School District Finance and Operations De- partment and will be accepted until the bid deadline of 11:00am on Fri- day, October 16, 2026. Sealed bids delivered should be labeled with the name and contact information of the bidder and the bid title `IFB-School Stripping and Painting of Exterior Surfaces' on the outer envelope. Following the bid deadline, bids received will be publicly opened in the office of the Assistant Superin- tendent of Finance and Operations. Late bids will be rejected. The proj- ect shall be procured in accordance with the provisions of Massachu- setts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 44A through Section 44J, inclusive. Every General Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified check, or treasur- er's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the "Masconomet School District", in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The success- ful General Bidder will be required to furnish a 50% payment bond to the School District as set forth in the specifications. Prevailing Wage Rates as established by the Divi- sion of Occupational Safety under the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce development is required for labor on the project. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) calendar days following the bid deadline without written consent by the Masconomet School District. The Masconomet School District acting through the Superintendent, the Awarding Authority, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor informalities and to award a contract in the best interest of the Masconomet School District.
