Description
The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price purchase order for the supply, hauling, unloading, and stockpiling of 850 cubic yards of Gradation T gravel, identified as 16402 1-inch road base, for the Bloomington Lake Trailhead. The gravel may come from any source that meets the stated specifications and must be supported by production gradations and associated laboratory tests. The contractor must provide any equipment and staffing needed to stockpile the material adjacent to the existing trailhead parking area, with delivery measured by certified load tickets. The work also includes temporary traffic control and, if the contractor's traffic-control plan determines it necessary, maintaining a public-road closure. The contractor is responsible for submitting the traffic-control plan and providing signs, barricades, drums, message boards, and other necessary measures. Delivery is expected during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., within 15 days of the notice to proceed; the government may coordinate the schedule based on weather and road conditions. Offers must include a completed and signed SF 1449, pricing for all schedule items, and a technical proposal containing product information, schedule, and past-performance information, submitted as separate Adobe PDF documents.
