Description
The USDA Agricultural Research Service is seeking one automated microplate reader for forage and plant-material research. The requested system must fit within approximately 40 cm wide by 33 cm deep by 35 cm high and support absorbance, fluorescence, and luminescence detection; 6-, 12-, 24-, 48-, 96-, and 384-well microplates; up to four cuvettes; microvolume reading; temperature control from 4°C to 45°C; specified read speeds; shaking modes; and a long-life xenon flash lamp. The brand-name reference is the Molecular Devices SpectraMax Mini, but equal products may be offered if they meet all salient characteristics and are supported by descriptive literature. The system must include dedicated instrumentation and data-management software, compatibility with XLS, TXT, and XML files without custom scripting, software keys for four computers, at least one year of hardware, onsite, and technical/application support, and a 10-year guaranteed period of instrument use and support. Delivery is to include all listed accessories, indoor delivery, OEM installation and user familiarization, and OEM-certified warranty service. The government intends to make one firm-fixed-price purchase order for one unit using lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation, with delivery required within 90 days of award.
