The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting refurbishment services for eight used, government-owned anchor bar assemblies recently removed from Lock and Dam 9. The assemblies are 30 to 90 years old, in poor physical condition, and have seized components resulting from limited articulation and lubrication. The contractor must handle the assemblies as matched sets; disassemble them; clean and degrease all surfaces; perform non-destructive testing and component inspections; blast and paint exposed surfaces; apply anti-corrosive treatments; and reassemble the units to specified tolerances.
