Description
The University of Minnesota seeks a professional engineering design firm to modernize the St. Paul Campus domestic water utility system. The project includes replacing pumps, valves, piping, and associated mechanical and electrical systems in the existing booster station; establishing a secondary connection to the regional water system; upsizing identified distribution mains; decommissioning the existing drinking-water well; and evaluating and repurposing the Pump House #3 facility. The design team must address civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, instrumentation, and controls work, along with permitting, cost estimating, budgeting support, and coordination for the secondary connection. The selected firm will provide services from schematic design through construction documents and construction-phase support under a design-bid-build delivery method. Required deliverables include 30%, 60%, 95%, and 100% construction documents, bidding assistance, construction administration support, site visits, submittal and RFI review, punch-list support, and record-drawing coordination. The 100% construction document phase must be completed by December 31, 2026. Responses must include the University's specified cover declaration, team qualifications, project work plan, project schedule, and lump-sum project fee attachments.
