Description
The Town of Colonie is soliciting bids for turnkey replacement of the electrical power supply serving Well #2 at the Mohawk View Water Treatment Plant. The base work includes design, labor, materials, supervision, low- and high-voltage electrical work, confined-space entry, cutting, drilling, wire pulling, digging, trenching, concrete work, a new junction box, final connections, electrical testing, and evaluation and abandonment or removal of existing power supplies. Materials and construction must withstand seasonal submersion, flooding, and ice conditions. The solicitation also requests optional lump-sum pricing for additional well power-supply replacements, per-foot pricing for electrical runs installed from existing manholes, pits, or vaults, and informational hourly and markup rates for out-of-scope electrical repair work and electrical components. Prevailing-wage requirements apply. The bid package includes a 5% bid bond or certified check, 100% performance and payment bonds, a current New York State Department of Labor contractor registration certificate, insurance evidence, qualification and responsibility questionnaires, certifications, bid forms, the completed bid response sheet, and a signed acknowledgment of Addendum No. 2. The restated Bid Response Sheet replaces the original version.
