Description
The City of North Miami Beach, Florida is soliciting bids for the loading, hauling, and disposal of lime-thickened sludge generated at its Norwood Water Treatment Plant, located at 19150 NW 8th Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33169. Services are required on a daily basis, Monday through Saturday, with an estimated volume of approximately 85 to 90 loads per month (about four loads per day), each load weighing approximately 51,000 pounds (about 25.5 net tons). The sludge has a solids concentration ranging from 30% to 50%. The contract will be for an initial term of three years with two optional one-year renewals. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and disposal services, and must comply with all applicable regulations. The successful bidder will be the lowest priced responsive and responsible bidder meeting the qualifications, including a minimum of three years' experience in liquid lime sludge hauling and disposal, and must provide three references. Subcontracting is not permitted. Bids must be submitted electronically via the City's eProcurement Portal by September 28, 2026.
