Miami-Dade County is soliciting a single-trade electrical contractor to provide comprehensive maintenance of approximately 4,732 roadway streetlights in the South Central Zone, including portions of County and Florida Department of Transportation corridors. The scope includes patrols, system-status reporting, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, emergency outage and knockdown response, repair and replacement of luminaires and electrical components, underground electrical repairs, pole and foundation work, conduit and conductor replacement, electrical service assembly work, pull and splice box installation, and removal of unpermitted or expired signs, banners, and electronic devices. The contractor must furnish supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment; maintain the designated system; correct deficiencies identified in inspection and FDOT maintenance reports; and respond to urgent issues. Personnel requirements include an applicable Florida or Miami-Dade electrical contractor license, a master electrician available at the job site or able to respond within four hours, and crews consisting of a licensed journeyman electrician with IMSA Roadway Lighting Level I certification and an electrician's helper. Bidders must demonstrate at least three similar public-right-of-way projects completed or underway within the past five years, with detailed project information and references. The estimated contract value is $3,814,426, with a 1,095-calendar-day term, required bid, payment, and performance bonds, and required commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and umbrella insurance.
