Description
Miami-Dade County is soliciting a contractor to mill and resurface SW 152nd Avenue from SW 42 Street to SW 8 Street. The work includes maintenance of traffic; excavation, embankment, and asphalt paving; adjustment of water meter boxes, valve boxes, and manholes; curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveway, and detectable-warning improvements; sod and tree-protection work; electrical conduit, service wiring, poles, pedestrian signals, detectors, and related traffic signal components; removal and installation of signs; raised pavement markers; and durable painted and thermoplastic pavement markings. The project is federally funded and includes applicable Federal Highway Administration requirements, Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, Buy America requirements, federal labor and nondiscrimination provisions, and a 30 percent minimum prime-contractor self-performance requirement. Bidders must hold the required Miami-Dade County engineering contractor certification or qualify through Florida Department of Transportation prequalification, including flexible paving and applicable traffic-signal work. Bidders must demonstrate at least three similar projects completed or underway within the past five years, with identified personnel, client references, contract values, durations, and supporting closeout documentation for completed projects. A five-percent bid security is required; payment and performance bonds, each equal to the total contract price, are required after award.
