Description
The project involves replacing approximately 5,290 linear feet of existing cast-iron water main with ductile-iron pipe, installing approximately 140 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE pipe by horizontal directional drilling, and completing associated water-system work. The scope includes hydrants, valves, fittings, service reconnections, hot taps, pipeline cleaning, testing and disinfection, and abandonment of the existing main. Related work includes traffic and erosion control, construction surveying, sanitary sewer lateral replacement, and restoration of asphalt, concrete curbs, sidewalks, driveways, and other surfaces. The engineer’s estimate is $2,275,000. Work is to be completed by June 30, 2027; the district intends to issue a notice to proceed no later than January 11, 2027.
