Description
The Borough of Seaside Park is soliciting proposals for a one-year appointment of special legal counsel for the year ending December 31, 2027. The selected attorney or law firm will assist Borough staff; defend claims; file and defend lawsuits; prepare reports; advise the Mayor and Council on litigation, regulations, ordinances, insurance matters, resident and commercial inquiries, and OPRA compliance; and attend meetings as requested. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey and appear before New Jersey courts and administrative officers for at least five years, with at least five years of demonstrated municipal-law litigation experience and experience representing a municipality with similar demographics. Proposals must document qualifications and experience, identify public entities represented, provide resumes for assigned personnel, and include the required proposal forms, ownership and non-collusion certifications, bid security, and other checklist items required at submission.
