Description
Dallastown Borough is soliciting a general construction contractor for Phase 1 of the S. Franklin Street Water Main Replacement Project. The work includes replacing approximately 400 linear feet of potable water main, approximately 15 water service connections, and one fire hydrant; installing associated valves, fittings, thrust restraints, pipe markers, and appurtenances; and performing trench excavation, backfill, compaction, hydrostatic testing, disinfection, and bacteriological testing. The project also includes asphalt, concrete sidewalk and curb, pavement marking, seeding, erosion and sedimentation controls, traffic maintenance, dewatering, and other surface restoration. The project is funded in whole or in part by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant program and is subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, Section 3 requirements, equal employment opportunity provisions, employment verification, domestic steel and federal funding requirements, and related labor-standard documentation. A 10 percent bid bond or certified check is required, and performance and payment bonds are required after award.
