Description
Almont Community Schools is soliciting a contractor to provide comprehensive snow and ice management for Orchard Primary School, Almont Middle School, Almont High School, the bus garage and transportation facility, and Zott Drive. Services include snow plowing, snow removal and hauling when storage is insufficient, salting and ice control, clearing sidewalks, entrances, ramps, bus areas, fire lanes, parking lots, staging lanes, fuel-island areas, and access routes, and managing snowbanks that obstruct visibility, drainage, parking, traffic flow, emergency access, or pedestrian safety. Athletic fields are excluded. The contractor must maintain safe access for students, staff, visitors, emergency vehicles, and service vehicles; clear the bus garage by 5:30 a.m. and all other sites and Zott Drive by 6:00 a.m. on school days; continue operations during prolonged snowfall; coordinate work around arrival, recess, and dismissal; provide weekend availability for school events; and document services, materials, equipment, timing, and snow depth with monthly invoices. The initial service term is November 1, 2026, through April 30, 2027, with two possible annual extensions. Required proposal materials include the Bid Form, Contractor Information, Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement, and Affidavit of Compliance under the Iran Economic Sanctions Act.
