Description
The City of New York Department of Design and Construction is soliciting competitive sealed bids for the reconstruction of approximately 270,000 square feet of sidewalks, driveways, and pedestrian ramps in Queens. The work includes concrete sidewalk and ramp installation, curb and roadway restoration, drainage structures and connections, traffic signs and markings, maintenance and protection of traffic, landscaping and tree work, utility coordination, temporary pedestrian access routes, pedestrian channelizers, and temporary pedestrian ramps. The contract also includes permits, work orders, contaminated and potentially hazardous material handling, green-infrastructure protection, sewer and water-related work, and compliance with ADA, PROWAG, and MUTCD requirements. Contractors must meet special experience and capacity requirements, including financial, equipment, manpower, and supervisory qualifications; comply with community-hiring, M/WBE, locally based enterprise, safety, insurance, prevailing-wage, and environmental requirements; and provide required bid security. The base contract duration is 545 consecutive calendar days, with work commencing under a Notice to Proceed and locations and scopes established through written work orders. Addendum 2 confirms that Volume 1 of the bid booklet has been added to PASSPort and initiates Round 3; bidders must transfer prior response data into the new RFX round. The response must be submitted through PASSPort by the stated deadline.
