Description
Carteret County seeks qualified elevator contractors to provide a full-service maintenance agreement for four passenger elevators and one wheelchair lift. The scope includes preventive maintenance, annual and periodic inspections, Category 1 and Category 5 testing, fire-service and emergency-power testing, safety-device testing, maintenance-control programs, repairs, documentation, code compliance, and 24/7 emergency response. The equipment includes ThyssenKrupp elevators at the Detention Center, Department of Social Services, and Courthouse Complex, plus a Chenery Co. wheelchair lift at the Courthouse Complex. The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, transportation, tools, testing devices, consumable materials, and incidentals; maintain service records; provide inspection and quarterly reports; use OEM parts when available; and respond to entrapments and other safety hazards within two hours. Proposals must include the completed bid form and required certifications, references, insurance documentation, and other forms identified in the solicitation. The initial term runs through June 30, 2027, with up to five one-year renewals at the County’s discretion.
