Description
The United States Air Force is soliciting tiered custom tailoring and alteration services exclusively for ceremonial tunics worn by approximately 50 USAF Band members. The scope includes minor or standard adjustments, moderate structural alterations, complex reconstruction, and ad hoc or emergency on-site visits. Work includes fittings, sewing, finishing, structural changes such as darts, seam adjustments, collar restructuring, shoulder-point realignment, armhole rotations, fabric-panel additions, and other alterations. The Government will provide base tunic garments, matching fabric, workspace, and a decommissioned tunic for the live demonstration; the contractor must provide tools, equipment, notions, and specified tailoring supplies. The contract is an indefinite-quantity arrangement with estimated quantities of 25 Tier 1, 15 Tier 2, 10 Tier 3, and 10 ad hoc/emergency visits per ordering period, with firm-fixed-price line items and orders issued from September 30, 2026, through March 23, 2031. Each batch of tunics is targeted for completion within four weeks of the initial fitting. Offerors must demonstrate master-level expertise in bespoke tailoring, pattern-making, or haute couture and pass a mandatory live fitting and mock-alteration demonstration. The opportunity is a total small-business set-aside.
