Description

The Department of the Interior is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to furnish, design, install, test, and commission five exterior red/green LED traffic signal assemblies at security kiosks serving underground parking garage access ramps. The work includes mounting hardware and structural supports, electrical connections to existing 120-volt kiosk power, local two-position manual switching labeled OPEN/GREEN and CLOSED/RED, weatherproofing, testing, commissioning, owner acceptance, and final closeout documentation. The base bid does not include integration with existing bollard, barrier-arm, or security-control systems, automatic operation, remote control panels, new poles, foundations, underground conduit, or battery backup. The contractor must field-verify each kiosk and provide any required minor circuit protection or modifications for a code-compliant installation. Signals must be approximately 14 inches high by 7 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep, use approximately four-inch lenses, and be suitable for exterior commercial use, UL-listed for wet locations, rated for 120–277 VAC operation, and weather- and corrosion-resistant. Signaworks model TL4-2 is the basis of design, with approved equals permitted. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, permits, coordination, traffic-control measures, and incidentals; comply with facility security, OSHA, NEC, Authority Having Jurisdiction, Buy American, and applicable District of Columbia requirements; and complete the work within 60 days after award. The estimated total project cost is $30,500. The quote requires an SF 1449, a technical response of no more than five pages including a tentative schedule, total-cost pricing, amendment acknowledgment, and a bid bond equal to 20% of the quote price, not to exceed $3 million.
