The City of Laguna Hills Public Works Department is inviting interested contractors to apply for inclusion on the City's Qualified Contractors List for the calendar year 2026. This list is established in accordance with the State of California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Commission. Contractors on this list will receive "Notice Inviting Bids" for informal projects valued under $200,000 within their respective work categories, as per California Public Contract Code sections 22032 and 22034. All trade categories are subject to informal bidding procedures and the requirement of being on this Qualified Contractor List. To be eligible, contractors must possess a current and valid contractor's license, verified through the California Contractor's State License Board, and be currently registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) meeting the requirements of Labor Code section 1725.5. Applicants must provide their DIR registration number on the application. Furthermore, contractors must commit to providing certified payroll records as required by Labor Code section 1776 throughout any City project and confirm compliance with all applicable DIR regulations and Labor Codes.
