Description
The City of Ukiah is soliciting bids for approximately 20 dry tons of 30% sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), with deliveries ordered in approximate quantities of 4,000 gallons, or 6.66 dry tons per delivery. The product must meet A.W.W.A. Standard B501-88, or the current version of that standard, and bidders must provide NSF chemical certification proof. Freight must be included, and the bidder must state pricing, payment terms, lead time, delivery method, and any additional fees. The resulting contract will cover one year from the date of award, with quantities approximate and not guaranteed. Deliveries must be made within three calendar days after receipt of order if possible, and the supplier must comply with applicable DOT hazardous-material regulations and OSHA protective-equipment requirements. A current City of Ukiah business license is required throughout the purchase-order term. The bid must be submitted on the City-furnished form and include the signed bid information and the Bidder/Contractor Statement Regarding Insurance Coverage.
