Description
Frederick County Public Schools is soliciting a contractor for a construction project involving replacement of the existing failing air-cooled chiller at Liberty Elementary School and reinstallation of a salvaged chiller at Orchard Grove Elementary School. The work includes associated chilled-water piping, insulation, hangers, electrical work, controls, a step-down transformer, equipment removal and disposal, refrigerant recovery in accordance with EPA requirements, system flushing and refilling, site restoration, and coordination with occupied school operations. The contractor must provide equipment installation, testing, adjusting and balancing, factory-authorized startup, commissioning support, automatic temperature-control and energy-management-system integration, operation and maintenance documentation, demonstrations and training, and required warranties. The project is to be substantially complete by March 1, 2027, with final completion by March 15, 2027. A two-year project warranty and specified extended equipment warranties are required.
