Description
The City seeks contractors to provide timber falling and harvesting, including ground-based and cable harvesting, specialty harvesting near residences, fire mitigation thinning, selection harvesting, and patch cuts. The work also includes hauling timber from designated harvest areas to specified scale sites and constructing new forest roads. Estimated annual quantities are 10,000 m³ of timber harvest and 2,000 meters of road construction; contractors are also responsible for road maintenance during harvesting and for preventing creek siltation and repairing or replacing culverts damaged during operations. The City will evaluate qualifications and experience, technical approach, financial offering, and value-added services. Respondents must submit a completed application, evidence of SAFE certification and faller certifications, qualifications and experience information, a technical proposal, a completed pricing spreadsheet, a value-added offering, a proposed subcontractor list, and an equipment list. The agreement is for three years, with two optional one-year extensions by mutual agreement.
