Description
The Navy is selling designated merchantable timber on approximately 118 acres, with estimated quantities of pine sawtimber, poles, pulpwood, topwood, gum/poplar logs, and oak sawtimber. The purchaser must fell and remove the timber, provide all labor, materials, and equipment, and complete the work within 18 months of award. This is a per-ton sale, and the estimated volumes are not guaranteed. Bids must include a completed SF-114 in triplicate and bid security equal to 20% of the bid price. The successful purchaser must provide a performance bond equal to 10% of the contract price after award and insurance before work begins. The solicitation also requires site-specific safety planning and compliance with logging, environmental, access, and installation requirements during performance.
