Description
The contractor will reduce surface fuel loading in two areas at Hilliard's Bay Provincial Park: an estimated 2.11 hectares in Fuels Reduction Area A and 1.2 hectares around critical infrastructure. The work is intended to reduce wildfire intensity and spread, improve suppression opportunities, and protect nearby community, campground, residential, and infrastructure values. The contractor must provide the equipment, personnel, and supplies needed, including snow removal if required. Work must use hand thinning and pruning with chainsaws, brush saws, pole saws, or small specialized equipment such as narrow-tracked skid steers; large equipment is not permitted off main roadways and parking areas.
