Description
The U.S. Navy is soliciting silver brazing rings and alloy strips manufactured in accordance with QQ-B-654, Class BCuP-5, including a 3/8-inch NPS silver brazing ring and 1/16-inch-wide by 0.050-inch-thick by 20-inch-long strip. The solicitation permits offers on any or all remaining CLINs and may result in multiple awards at the CLIN level. Refined silver will be furnished as Government Furnished Material. The material is designated Special Emphasis Material, Level I, for use in crucial shipboard systems. The contractor must maintain an ISO 9001-based quality system or an approved alternate, perform chemical analysis and inspections, provide signed certificates of compliance and material certification data, and maintain heat/lot traceability through delivery. Certification data must be submitted through WAWF for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard review and acceptance before each shipment; no material may be shipped before acceptance. Controlled drawings are available through the posting with approved restricted access. Final delivery is required within 365 days, with early and incremental delivery permitted.
