Description
Metra is soliciting bids for a one-time purchase of new welding systems and components for rebuilding and maintaining track components. The requested quantities are six truck-mounted diesel welders with air compressors, six 15-foot welding guns, six drive roll kits, and eight heavy-duty wire feeders. Brand-name items are identified as examples, with approved equals permitted. Products must be delivered complete and ready for use, with technical data sheets, specification brochures, certifications, warranty information, training materials, and operation, parts, and maintenance manuals. The solicitation requires a one-year warranty covering parts, materials, labor, and associated restoration costs. Bidders must submit the prescribed bid materials, completed certifications and affidavits, the applicable Buy America certification, the DOT prime/subcontractor form, and pricing for all line items.
