Description
The American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather market research on cloud-based digital asset management (DAM) platforms. ABMC is looking for solutions that can enhance or replace the current platform at WeRemember.ABMC.gov and support the long-term stewardship of burial and memorialization records, digital assets, and public access services. The commission is particularly interested in proven platforms that meet federal requirements and can be configured with minimal custom development. Examples of platforms of interest include Alfresco, Aprimo, ArchivesSpace, AtoM, Axiell DAMS powered by Piction, Bynder, Canto, Hyland, Nuxeo, OpenText, Preservica, and ResourceSpace, as well as comparable DAM or archival platforms. The current system relies on Knowvation and Microsoft SQL, managing both structured data and large volumes of unstructured content such as scanned documents and photographs. ABMC seeks a secure, modern, and user-friendly DAM platform to improve search capabilities, digital asset control, records stewardship, public usability, internal workflows, role-based access, reporting, and secure integration, while avoiding vendor lock-in.
