Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate a sole-source firm-fixed-price purchase order with the Information Technology Industry Council, Inc. for a 12-month membership with the International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS), covering the period of December 1, 2026, to November 30, 2027. This membership is crucial for NIST's Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) to advance measurement science, standards, and technology in information technology, mathematics, and statistics, thereby promoting U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness. INCITS is identified as the central U.S. forum for creating technology standards, and membership is exclusively procured through the Information Technology Industry Council, Inc. The membership includes participation in various technical committees and steering committees related to AI, biometrics, cybersecurity, data management, cloud computing, IoT, and software engineering, among others.
