Description
The New York State Council on Developmental Disabilities seeks one grantee to establish and sustain a statewide Fatherhood Engagement Network supporting fathers and father figures of people with developmental disabilities. Work includes coordinating existing organizations and expanding services in underserved communities; recruiting and developing fathers as mentors, advocates, trainers, and community leaders; providing peer mentoring and support, including connections to mental health services; and building referral partnerships with pediatric healthcare and developmental disability service providers. The grantee will also collect and evaluate engagement data, identify participation barriers, share recommendations and resources, and develop a sustainability plan. The grant provides up to $150,000 per year for five years, for a total of up to $750,000 subject to funding availability. Applicants must provide a match of at least 34% of the grant amount. The application requires a five-year work plan, program-specific responses, a one-year budget and justifications, and specified signed attestations and vendor responsibility and insurance-related certifications. Applications must be submitted through Qualtrics; nonprofit applicants must be registered and prequalified in the Statewide Financial System by the deadline.
