Description
Isle of Wight County is soliciting bids for Phase 1 construction of a new public park on approximately 6.63 acres of disturbed area. The work includes clearing and demolition, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment controls, stormwater management, parking facilities, walking trails, recreational facilities, site furnishings, landscaping, access improvements, and associated site work. Planned amenities include a gravel parking lot, playground, picnic shelter, basketball court, maintenance shed, and walking trails. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, permits, testing, temporary facilities, and other services necessary to complete the work. The project is federally assisted through the Land and Water Conservation Fund and is subject to federal requirements, including Build America, Buy America material-sourcing rules, environmental restrictions, and related compliance documentation. Work must be substantially complete within 300 days of notice to proceed, with final completion 45 days thereafter.
