Description
Pennsylvania Western University seeks up to three contractors for an indefinite-quantity work-order contract to provide environmental hazard abatement services as needed. Work includes removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials, including pipe insulation, fittings, floor and ceiling tile, plaster, and related materials, as well as lead-based paint abatement, disposal, or recycling on building components. Contractors must provide labor, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment and comply with applicable environmental, safety, and disposal regulations. Bidders must be located within an 80-mile radius of the campuses and able to serve all three. The contract is planned for one year, with up to two mutually agreed two-year renewals. Required bid submissions include the Bid Form, Contractor Qualification Statement, and a bonding-capacity letter; the qualification statement must include a staffing and organization chart. The solicitation also requires at least five years in business and 25 similar completed projects. The mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit are specified in the milestones.
