Description
This low-bid construction project includes interior renovations and separate HVAC, plumbing, and electrical construction prime contracts at the Rachel Carson Office Building. Estimated ranges are $12 million–$13 million for HVAC, $2 million–$3 million for plumbing, and $7 million–$8 million for electrical work. The project duration is 945 calendar days from the initial job conference, and no bid guaranty is required. Participation goals apply to each prime contract: HVAC requires 9% SDB and 3% VBE participation; plumbing requires 6% SDB and 3% VBE; and electrical requires 19% SDB and 3% VBE. Bidders must meet the applicable goals or demonstrate good-faith efforts. Bids are accepted electronically through e-Builder. The Commonwealth Capital Programs Verification Form and Worker Protection and Investment Certification Form must be submitted with the bid or before contract award.
