Description
This solicitation is for triennial inspection and testing of electrical breakers and the electrical power distribution system at the Iowa City VA Healthcare System. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of these systems in compliance with manufacturers' recommendations and applicable standards, including VHA Directive 1028 and NFPA 70B. The scope of work includes inspecting, cleaning, testing, and adjusting various electrical equipment such as switchgear, medium-voltage circuit breakers, protective relays, transformers, low-voltage circuit breakers, generators, and batteries. Detailed reports of all findings, test data, analysis, and recommendations are required, with both physical and electronic copies to be provided to the Maintenance and Operations Engineer. The work will be performed at the Iowa City VA Healthcare System, with outages scheduled only at night and on weekends.
