Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is accepting bids for the replacement of two passenger elevators and one freight elevator at the State Historical Building, located at 600 E. Locust St., Des Moines, Iowa. The project includes demolition of existing elevator equipment, installation of new traction machines, controllers, cab interiors, hoistway doors, and associated electrical and mechanical work. Construction is anticipated to begin in February 2027 and end in December 2027. Bids are due by July 9, 2026, and must be submitted via the IMPACS Electronic Procurement System. A bid security of 5% of the total bid amount is required. An optional pre-bid meeting will be held on June 25, 2026.
