Description
Randolph Township is seeking a full-time Building Subcode Official & Inspector to assist the Construction Official. This role involves administering the NJ Uniform Construction building subcode, enforcing local ordinances, and ensuring construction work complies with building codes. Responsibilities include reviewing applications, issuing permits, site warnings, citations, and stop work orders, as well as testifying in court and administrative hearings. The selected candidate will also coordinate activities of subcode officials and maintain records. Required qualifications include a valid Construction Official license and a valid Building Subcode Official license from the NJ Department of Community Affairs, an HHS License, and knowledge for RCS and ICS licenses. A valid NJ driver's license is also mandatory. The salary is up to $105,000, commensurate with experience, with benefits detailed in the Randolph Flyers.
