Description
Ruidoso Municipal School District is requesting proposals for new E-Rate-eligible Category 2 network security equipment, including two firewall systems, components, necessary software, and licenses. The specifications identify Fortinet or equivalent equipment for internal connections and Fortinet equipment for the requested firewall scope. Proposed equipment must be new; used, open-box, refurbished, or otherwise non-new equipment will be disqualified, and partial offers will not be considered. The solicitation also addresses basic maintenance of internal connections and managed internal broadband services for eligibility purposes, but expressly states that the district is not requesting time-and-materials maintenance or managed broadband services. Vendors must provide complete pricing, including shipping, licenses, and required components, identify E-Rate eligibility by line item, use the provided pricing attachment in Excel or an equivalent format, and identify a valid purchasing vehicle. Installation services are not requested. The district prefers a multiyear agreement, with separate stated terms for equipment/services and five-year license pricing.
