]Supply Contract for Sale of Scrap Copper
Description
The Arkansas Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from a vendor to purchase and pick up scrap copper generated at its TSMO Equipment and Procurement Division location. The successful bidder must furnish one container, collect full containers within two working days after notification, provide an empty replacement container within two working days after pickup, furnish scale tickets showing container weights, and disclose the applicable buying price for the day of sale. Payment is based on the Fastmarkets Nonferrous Scrap Prices reference for Refiners Copper Scrap No. 2 Copper, with award made to the vendor offering the highest percentage per pound paid to the department. Payment must be made within ten days after pickup by certified or cashier's check, accompanied by the applicable scale tickets. The bid must be submitted on the furnished form in a sealed, clearly marked envelope. The contract may be terminated by the department with 15 days' notice.
