Description
The City of Bowling Green is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from experienced design-build firms for a new regional public safety training center. The selected Design-Builder will provide complete architectural, engineering, preconstruction, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, closeout, and owner-training services, including site investigations, permitting, cost estimating, scheduling, subcontractor procurement, quality control, safety, and project management. The anticipated 8,000- to 10,000-square-foot facility will include a 6- to 10-lane indoor firearms range extending to 25 yards, supporting pistol and 5.56 mm rifle training, move-and-shoot capability, action targets, training props, staging areas, ventilation, filtration, acoustic controls, and safety systems. Additional elements include an approximately 1,400-square-foot classroom and training area, lobby and vestibule, restrooms, storage, sound-control vestibule, audiovisual technology, kitchenette or serving counter, parking for approximately 25 vehicles, and related site improvements. Statements of Qualifications are limited to 20 pages, excluding an optional cover page, and must address team composition, comparable experience, key staff, capacity, project approach, estimating, scheduling, safety, bonding and insurance evidence, Ohio public-construction experience, claims history, and related qualifications. The process will proceed to an RFP phase for short-listed firms.
