Description
The City of Sylvania is soliciting sealed bids for construction of lighting improvements along Monroe Street between Harroun Road and Alexis Road, and along Alexis Road between Monroe Street and Acres Road. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and related construction work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the project plans, Ohio Department of Transportation specifications, and supplemental specifications. The engineer's estimate is $432,697. Construction is authorized to begin no sooner than November 30, 2026, and 100% completion is required by June 25, 2027. The project is subject to Ohio prevailing-wage requirements. Bidders must submit bid guaranty and contract bond security; the successful contractor must also provide performance and payment bonds, insurance naming the City of Sylvania as an additional insured, and a one-year maintenance bond equal to 25% of construction cost upon completion.
