Description
Park Township is soliciting proposals from qualified, licensed, and insured certified public accounting firms to audit all Township funds in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, Government Auditing Standards, current Governmental Accounting Standards Board pronouncements, and applicable Michigan Department of Treasury requirements. The selected auditor will prepare the annual financial report, express opinions on the government-wide and fund financial statements, report on compliance and internal control over financial reporting, and perform a Single Audit for applicable federal programs if needed. The engagement includes presenting results to the Township Board, reporting to required parties, retaining audit workpapers for three years, and providing 15 bound copies of the financial statements. Proposals must describe the firm's qualifications, governmental audit experience, project team, peer review and quality-control history, audit approach, staffing and estimated hours, specialist use, references for at least three similar clients, and pricing for the basic financial statement audit and any Single Audit for each of five potential years. A completed Certification Regarding Suspension and Debarment is also required.
