Description
This project covers rehabilitation of the eastbound and westbound I-96 bridges over 88th Avenue in Polkton Township, including deep and full-depth concrete deck patching, hand chipping, localized crack sealing, epoxy-coated steel reinforcement, embedded galvanic anodes, HMA patch removal, and related concrete work. The project includes specified quantities for Grade BDJR concrete, full-depth patching, crack sealing, reinforcement, temporary concrete barriers, mobile attenuators, temporary signals, pavement markings, and temporary rumble strips. The contractor must comply with the 2020 Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction and applicable special provisions. Responsibilities include furnishing and operating specified temporary traffic-control items, coordinating lane closures with the department, submitting materials documentation and concrete quality-control information, preparing an Internal Traffic Control Plan, and submitting lane-closure requests at least seven calendar days before closures. The work is scheduled to begin on or after October 19, 2026, and must be completed by November 15, 2026.
