Description
The City of Milton is soliciting a lump-sum bid for removal and disposal of existing sectional overhead doors and operators and installation of ten new high-speed roll-up apparatus bay door systems: six at Fire Station 43 and four at Fire Station 41. The work includes operators and wired controls, remote transmitters, safety light curtains or equivalent presence detection, obstruction sensing, structural and opening modifications, electrical coordination, testing, commissioning, training, warranties, and one planned maintenance service approximately six months after installation. The contractor must provide a complete, operational installation suitable for active fire-station use, including field verification, demolition, disposal, coordination with the City's electrical contractor, and compliance with applicable codes and manufacturer requirements. Bidders must demonstrate at least three completed fire-station projects involving high-speed roll-up doors within the past five years and provide project references and contact information. A 5% bid bond is required; the successful bidder must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and a maintenance bond equal to one-third of the contract price.
