Description
The City of Chesapeake is soliciting bids for construction services to replace Pump Station 43. The work includes approximately 2,200 linear feet of 6-inch discharge pipe and approximately 30 linear feet of 8-inch influent force main sewer, along with new rail-mounted submersible pumps, pump wells, pump-well connections, separate valve vaults, and associated improvements. The solicitation also includes demolition of the existing station, bypass pumping, electrical controls and equipment, instrumentation, pavement and site restoration, erosion and sediment control, traffic maintenance, and delivery of one spare pump. Substantial completion is required within 315 days and final completion within 345 days after the Notice to Proceed. A 5% bid bond and 100% performance and payment bonds are required.
