Description
Georgia Correctional Industries is soliciting frozen, raw beef patties for institutional food service. The requested product consists of 5- to 6-ounce patties, packaged 100 to 200 per case, with consistent size and quantity, current dating, a minimum 120-day shelf life, and nutritional limits for calories, fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium, and protein. Products must contain beef, water, and permitted textured vegetable protein or soy; all ingredients must be listed on the product label. Products must be USDA-inspected, made in the United States, not frozen more than once, and negative for E. coli and Salmonella. Nutritional labels and ingredient lists must be submitted with the bid, and samples may be requested at no additional cost. The supplier must complete the detailed specification sheet with a written description of the product offered and may need to provide supporting manufacturer literature for equivalent products. Delivery must be included in all-inclusive pricing and made FOB destination to the GCI Food Distribution Unit at 800 Abattoir Road, Milledgeville, Georgia, within the timeframe stated on each purchase order. The solicitation is not a multiyear agreement, and responses must be submitted electronically through the state's sourcing tool.
