Description
Pierce County seeks a long-term operating partner to manage Chambers Bay and Lake Spanaway golf courses, including golf operations, pro-shop retail, food and beverage services, maintenance, repairs, and landscaping. The operator will also manage staffing, marketing, pricing, customer service, tournaments, instruction, and financial reporting, and is expected to propose capital reinvestment and revenue-growth strategies. The County seeks measurable growth in local participation and community programming while maintaining championship-quality course conditions and readiness for major events. Proposals must include a capital reinvestment and revenue-growth plan, a written business plan with a financial pro forma and staffing and operating projections, management fee and bonus details, supporting financial data, organizational and partner qualifications, and resumes for key management personnel. The initial contract period is anticipated to run from April 1, 2027, through March 31, 2037, with a possible extension of up to five additional years at the County’s discretion.
