Description
The City of Pooler is soliciting proposals from qualified urban forestry consultants to conduct a comprehensive citywide tree canopy coverage assessment and create a geodatabase. The work includes assessing canopy coverage using LiDAR technology via drone or aircraft; collecting canopy, ground-cover, and other urban-forest data; and delivering tree inventory results capable of GIS mapping, reporting, and data export. Services must be performed under the supervision of an ISA-certified arborist and in accordance with applicable regulations, ANSI A300 and Z133 standards, and ISA best management practices. The selected consultant will provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, travel, and other ancillary costs. The contract has a 12-month initial term with one six-month renewal option. Proposals must include pricing, company and project experience, at least three similar-project references with contact information, insurance and bonding documentation, Georgia business registration, arborist or consultant certification, required appendices, and an acknowledgment of addenda.
