Description
Tarrant County is soliciting bids for one two-axle, sliding tandem-axle tilt trailer for Precinct 3 Maintenance. The trailer will be used to transport various pieces of equipment to and from work sites. The trailer must have an 80,000-pound capacity, an overall deck length no greater than 48 inches as clarified in the public Q&A, and the specifications stated in the solicitation, including the required decking, parking stands, open deck, ground clearance, load-angle characteristics, lighting, mud flaps, air or spring ABS brakes, air-ride suspension, and other structural and safety features. The trailer must include two 25,000-pound dual-tire axles, oil-bath bearings prepared for tire inflation, a 20,000-pound heavy-duty planetary winch with an 85-foot cable and wireless remote, a toolbox, a fifth-wheel kingpin hitch, and hydraulic quick couplers. Bidders must provide pricing for the trailer and delivery, specifications specific to the trailer model offered, references, and the required bid-response information. Award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting or exceeding all specifications.
