Description
The City of Tustin is soliciting bids for rehabilitation and related improvements at Main Street Well 3 and Newport Well 3. The work includes pre-removal testing; removal, transport, inspection, testing, and condition assessment of existing vertical turbine pumps and motors; downhole color-video inspections; electromagnetic casing-thickness and integrity inspections; pump and motor refurbishment or authorized replacement; reinstallation, startup, performance, vibration, electrical, operational, and meter/valve testing; flushing and disinfection; and site restoration. Main Street Well 3 also includes conversion from an oil-lubricated lineshaft system to continuous water lubrication, new water-lube tubing and appurtenances, and conditional well rehabilitation such as brushing, bailing, chemical treatment, redevelopment, and dual-swab airlifting. Newport Well 3 includes new magnetic flow meters, motor-operated valves, steel piping, electrical equipment, field controls, conduit, power and control wiring, and terminations at the existing PLC panel. PLC/SCADA programming and integration will be performed separately by Morrow Meadows Corporation. The contract time is 150 working days from the Notice to Proceed, with final completion required by June 30, 2027; the engineer's estimate is $775,000.
