Description
The City of Canandaigua is soliciting sealed bids to remove and replace four overhead garage doors, electric operators, safety devices, and associated hardware at Fire Station #2. The work includes four Raynor ThermaSeal TM175 sectional insulated steel doors or approved equivalents, LiftMaster Logic 5.0 commercial operators, high-cycle torsion springs, insulated glass windows, reinforcing struts, safety devices, weather seals, controls, remotes, electrical connections, and complete installation. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, measurements, incidental work, cleanup, and coordination necessary for a functional turnkey installation. Requirements include at least 10 years of similar experience, three customer references, New York State Department of Labor contractor registration, an electrician within the organization, 24/7/365 emergency service with a one-hour response capability, and a company location within 75 miles of the fire station. The bid must include the completed bid proposal, non-collusive proposal certification, questionnaire form, addendum acknowledgment, company history and experience information, references, registration certificate, and a certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the bid. An alternate price is requested for installing new tracks. The anticipated contract award is November 16, 2026, with substantial completion scheduled for February 26, 2027.
